Laura is a very strong and open-minded and openhearted woman. When you are back in the rich Cape Town, back to Waterfront you have much to think about. All in all it was a great but of course a very reflective experience. We don’t want to tell more you have to make your own experience. We had the chance to take part in giving out lunch. You come to a room with about 200 children and they are all well-behaved and look happy. When you visit the kindergarten, it’s so amazing. But Laura did not complain she just opens your eyes. The whole time Laura told us about the real live in a township and the effects it has if you are born in the poor area concerning your whole future life. On the way we stopped at some historical sites and a very big tent, the church. After that we went (by car) to Guguletu and visited Laura’s kindergarten. On the appointed day, Laura and her colleague Glen picked us up in Cape Town with their car and they took us to Langa where we visited an information center about apartheid and a very poor district where the houses have no running water and where one family has to share a room with other families. ![]() We booked the township tour (the intro tour) from Laura because with this tour you can support her social project in the township Guguletu, where she built up a kindergarten and cares about small children.
